Spine Anatomy Quiz

Six questions on the vertebral column: this spine anatomy quiz covers the regions, the vertebrae counts, and the discs, with instant right-or-wrong feedback.

Ground Covered

Six questions, one structure. The quiz works the vertebral column through three territories:

  • the regions of the spine and how they are named
  • vertebrae counts — the counts themselves are quiz answers, so you will not find them printed on this page
  • the discs that sit between the vertebrae

That is the whole scope, and it stays strictly textbook: the parts, names, and numbers of a structure, with nothing clinical folded in anywhere.

How Each Answer Was Checked

The answer key behind this page was not written once and trusted. Two authors filled in the same fixed dataset of 200 keys independently — the spine entries among them — and the two finished copies were then compared entry against entry. All 200 values matched across the pair. Any key the two could not both stand behind was dropped from questioning entirely, which is why what remains can be asked without hedging.

In the Page, Start to Finish

The quiz runs where you are reading. Each question puts four options in front of you; commit to one and it is marked right or wrong immediately, with the correct answer displayed either way. After the sixth question the page lays out a review of the whole run, question by question, so you can see which territory cost you. Your best score is stored in your browser, so a later visit has something to beat. No account is needed and nothing gets downloaded.
