Personal Trainer Practice Test
This personal trainer practice test asks 6 questions on training principles and terms — reps, sets, overload, warm-ups — free and playable in the page.
Topics on the test
Six questions on the vocabulary that training study material leans on: training principles and the terms built around them — reps, sets, overload, warm-ups. These are definition-and-terminology questions, the same kind of nomenclature work the rest of this site does for anatomy. The test does not tell you how to train, prescribe any exercise, or offer advice of any sort; it asks what the terms mean and how the principles are named, and it stops there.
Where the key comes from
Like every page here, the answers sit in a dataset that was built twice over. Two authors independently completed the same fixed 200 keys — a question catalog together with structured reference tables — and the copies were afterward compared value by value, with all 200 in agreement. Any entry the two authors could not both vouch for was left out of the question pool entirely, so each correct answer on this test carries two separate sign-offs made without either author seeing the other’s work.
Sitting the six questions
Each question presents four options. Choose, and the page marks the pick right or wrong at once, with the correct answer displayed either way. The end of the run brings a question-by-question review of the full set. Your best score is kept in your browser between visits — free to play, no signup, nothing downloaded, everything in the page.
