Ear Anatomy Quiz

An ear anatomy quiz of 6 questions covering the eardrum, the ossicles, the cochlea, and balance — free and playable directly in the page.

The ground these six questions cover

Six questions on the ear as the textbooks draw it: the eardrum, the ossicles, the cochlea, and the structures behind balance. The ear packs an unusual amount of named anatomy into a small space, which makes it a natural quiz subject — most of what there is to know is a name and a location. Hearing loss, infections, and anything else clinical are out of scope here; the questions stay with structure and nomenclature from start to finish.

Why the answers hold up

Each answer traces back to a dataset that two authors completed independently against the same fixed set of 200 keys — a question catalog plus structured reference tables. The two finished copies were compared entry by entry, and every one of the 200 values agreed. A value only becomes a quiz answer when both authors vouched for it separately; anything short of that was dropped rather than asked. The point of the exercise is that no answer on this page rests on one person’s recall.

How it runs on the page

Pick one of four options and the page tells you immediately whether it was right, showing the correct answer at the same time. After the sixth question comes a review of the whole set, question by question, with your picks laid beside the key. Your best score is stored in your own browser and nowhere else. The quiz is free, needs no signup, and runs without downloading anything.
